Group QA Controller – Offshore Survey Sector

To actively support the QHSE Department by constantly reviewing the established group management systems for deficiencies and compliance and to provide affective support in the development of those management systems.
 
Responsibilities 
  • To liaise with group business lines and develop audit programmes that fully ensures all the organizations and processes within the Group and related organizations required to affect our business are audited for compliance against Group approved criteria.   
  • To produce clear and concise QHSE audit reports that identify the area of audit, what was reviewed, who was spoken to and any deficiencies found. The report shall include details of close out, an agreement with the audited organization manager relating to deficiencies and clearly state a completion date. Audit reports will be distributed as per requirements within the auditing procedure. 
  • To control the Group document management system, in all formats, and ensure all documents are reviewed within stipulated time frames. 
  • To ensure that all revised Group documents are included within the Group document management system and previous revisions are removed 
  • To ensure that all personnel are notified, through a controlled document bulletin, of changes to the Group management system.   
  • To liaise with Business Line management and QHSE personnel relating to the reporting requirements and development of the Group Management systems.  
  • To ensure that full traceability systems are established and available for all management systems. 
  • The monitoring and follow up of all non- conformities and client complaints generated within the group. 
  • The provision of statistical quality information relating to end of year QHSE reporting 
  • To provide Commercial / Marketing departments with pre-qualification HSEQS submissions as required  
  •  To undertake or assist with the development of QHSE project documentation  
  • To provide support to others in the QHSE group department that will ensure any urgent processes are completed within a timely manner. 
Experience
  • The candidate will need to demonstrate QA qualification and must have good audit experience with Lead QA Auditor qualification.
  • The candidate must have good document management skills
  • The candidate will have good knowledge of Safety and Environmental practices and legislation, ideally qualified to NEBOSH Certificate standard.

Lead Design Engineer – Biomass Power Sector

The client is a specialised engineering company providing reliable energy solutions to an evolving energy market. 
They specialise in the design, development and construction of thermal renewable power generation plants to customer specification, providing a complete solution from engineering and procurement to construction of small to medium scale renewable energy power plants.

Requirements
  • Lead a team to complete several studies of designs/construction projects simultaneously. 
  • Lead a multidiscipline engineering team and be able to work through all aspects of the plant delivery. 
  • Demonstrate technical leadership over the team to develop design systems and deliver on projects.
Experience 
  • 10 years in a technical role
  • Business Acumen to be demonstrated
  • Experience across disciplines required
  • Experience as a manager or team leader
Qualifications  
  • Bachelor of Engineering essential
  • Business qualification desirable

Principal Consultant - UK Power Consultancy

Job Summary

Our client is an established energy consultancy company providing services in a number of areas including planning, design, construction, metering, management, operation, and regulation of electricity systems.

They provide clients with multi-disciplinary professional teams consisting of both energy specialists with extensive international experience and well practised power sector senior managers.

Currently looking for Principal Consultants to join their Colchester based consultancy team to facilitate the delivery of projects to cost, timescales and quality standards.

The role will require the delivery of international projects and will therefore require candidates to be flexible and able to undertake projects overseas, often at short notice.

Principal Consultants will be required to lead multi disciplinary teams (which may include but not be limited to engineers, financial analysts, economist and environmental specialists).

Consultants will also be expected to work in their own area of expertise and coordinate the contributions of others in related specialism’s.

Requirements

Interested in receiving applications from experienced consultants and power sector managers with knowledge and experience in the following areas;

  • Project Management delivering to budget, time and quality constraints
  • Consultancy and advisory, particularly with an international dimension
  • Client relationship management
  • Good understanding of the global power industry including technical or other relevant specific expertise
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of producing and delivering high quality written reports and presentations
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
  • Membership of a relevant professional body
Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include the following;

Delivering power sector consultancy assignments to budget and targeted levels of quality and timeliness.

  • Preparing written reports and presenting results to customers
  • Preparing and monitoring project plans
  • Leading project teams
  • Liaison with customers and other members of staff
  • Reporting project progress to the Head of Consultancy Projects
  • Contributing to business development, including the preparation of bids, tenders and proposals as necessary
