Geotechnical Project Manager – Offshore Survey Sector

Our client is a UK based worldwide offshore site investigation and foundation engineering Company; they are currently seeking a Geotechnical Project Manager due to increased workload in their Avon office.
The role will be predominantly office based with site management postings to field operations as necessary.
As a project manager you will be responsible for all aspects of a geotechnical contract including client liaison, planning and scheduling, commercial control, staffing, supervision of execution, approval of engineering and reporting including bearing capacity calculations, piled foundation design, liquefaction assessment and pile driving analyses. Projects are conducted worldwide including Europe, Middle East, West Africa and South America. So short term deployments overseas and to vessels during site investigation work is to be expected.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience in supervising geotechnical investigations including marine based investigations. They will possess a degree relevant to Geotechnics or Engineering Geology.
Knowledge of BS5930 “Code of practice for site investigation” and BS1377 “Methods of test for soils for civil engineering purposes” would be expected. Experience of foundation design and engineering reporting will be required.
A competitive salary is offered, with employees benefit from a company contributed pension scheme. Where appropriate, additional offshore site pay will be paid.
