Procurement Director – International Power Projects

The client a leading provider of cleaner, greener technology, products and services for power generation: from turnkey steam power-plant projects to boilers, turbines, & nuclear. Our clients Group business unit offers full turn-key OEM Power solutions, delivering Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) for New Build and Major Retrofits.
Reporting to the Group Managing Director, you will establish a high performing procurement team and be responsible for developing & managing central best-practice procurement & supply chain processes, systems and governance on both overseas and UK EPC projects
Key Duties:
· Development and implementation of Framework Agreements for services & materials
· Development and implementation of template contracts for major purchases
· Recruitment, management and development of Procurement Team, initialising KPI’s and future departmental and company growth strategy.
· Ensuring smooth integration of cross functional processes and controls.
· Risk management.
· Analysing expenditure and developing commodity strategies globally to ensure best value.
· Working collaboratively with EC members, designing procurement & supply chain strategy.
· Policy & process.
· Developing a formal method to analyse staff competencies and identify skills gaps accordingly.
· Developing & managing key stakeholder relationships within the business at senior level

· Managing strategic & operational delivery.
Required Experience:
· Proven experience in strategic sourcing, cost analysis, and risk management on Engineer, Procure, Construct, Manage (EPCM) and Project Management Consultant (PMC) contracts worldwide.
· Significant experience within a large scale international EPC projects environment.
· Significant commercial acumen and contractual experience.
· Thorough understanding of codes, governing regulations and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Minimum: Relevant Engineering or Construction Degree
Preferred: MCIPS
