Thermal Product Manager (Power EPC Sector)

Our client is recruiting for a Thermal Product Manager. A leading provider of cleaner, greener technology, products and services for power generation: from turnkey steam power-plant projects to boilers, turbines, nuclear and wind power. Their Plant Group business unit offers full turn-key OEM Power solutions, delivering Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) for New Build and Major Retrofits in:
Your principle responsibilities will include;
  • Lead annual planning process for the Product and present recommendations to the Product Planning Board.
  • Support Sales for Product promotion and pre-RFP efforts.
  • Lead the Product Adaptation process for bids and contracts.
  • Monitor the QCD performance during project execution.
  • Escalate key product issues and decisions to the Product Planning Board.
  • Interface with marketing and sales to develop the Product requirements Specification and interpret the customer and market needs.
  • Engage delivery and R&D functions to translate customer and market needs into delivery strategies, design, features and development goals and plans.
  • Formalise the product value propositions and differentiating factors.
  • Monitor product position versus competitors.
  • Manage the technology and product development pipeline.
  • Establish and maintain the Reference Product Models and Reference Product Libraries.
  • Champion the application of the Reference Product Models to internal Sales and Tendering organisations.
  • Suitable candidates will possess;
Degree level qualification or equivalent in a technical or engineering discipline.
A track record in the role of Product Manager/Project Manager with capability to execute market driven product development and manage multi-disciplined teams from inception of product concept through to completion and delivery.
