Principal Consultant/Operations Manager - Oil&Gas Environmental

Our client is a multidisciplinary Consultancy providing an extensive range of specialist services to the UK and international offshore oil and gas sector. They have a multi-disciplinary and experienced team, including marine biologists, EMS practitioners, chemists, pollution experts, oceanographers, and more provide and high quality and knowledge based service fulfilling a broad spectrum of industry requirements.

Services include:

• Environmental impact assessments
• Decommissioning programs and scoping
• Permits and consents licences
• OPEP’s
• Underwater noise assessments and modelling
• Environmental baseline surveys
• Consultation support with the regulators
• Waste management services
• Risk and data management
• Chemical permitting

Now recruiting for an Operations Director who will initially act as Principal Consultant / Director responsible for strengthening the project delivery and operational performance of the oil and gas consultancy business.

During the initial phase, you will strengthen the commercial awareness, work-winning, proposal preparation, resourcing, project management, delivery and performance reporting processes within each part of the business.

While this is occurring, you will be expected to contribute to fee-earning project work and be cash positive.

You will also provide operational support to the directors and attend board meetings. This initial stage will take one year. Thereafter, you will assume the role of Operations Director as part the company’s on-going succession planning process should satisfactory performance be attained.
