Metocean Business Manager
( UK Vacancy) Salary & Benefits: Market Competitive
Our Client is looking for a professional who can apply accrued industry and scientific knowledge and experience in performing company work with due diligence and professionalism, and with emphasis on developing the business line and resources cost effectively. Meeting client and stake holder expectations, delivering contract profits in line with, or exceeding, expectations and development of equipment and human resources. In so doing create a technical and operational centre of excellence.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Development of the business Line
• Supervise tendering and contract negotiations on projects
• Be conversant with all leading edge technology and Environmental survey techniques, and their application for current and future business opportunities
• Promote our clients corporate image both internally and externally, with particular emphasis on increasing the exposure of, and client confidence in the business line
• Implementation and monitoring of training programs for personnel
• Implementation and monitoring of technical development for techniques and systems
• Ensure interpretation and reporting of projects meets client expectations
• Marketing of services to promote client confidence and further develop the business line
• Maintain close contact with all disciplines within the group
• Promote a high and consistent standard of work in operations worldwide, regardless of geographical region
• To be aware of the contents of the company's various safety, quality and management procedures and manuals and ensure the business line’s compliance; suggest and promote positive changes to these systems; be ever mindful of ones responsibilities in the workplace, that affects the health and safety of one self and those of work colleagues, the public and environment
• Any other duties deemed necessary, which are within the bounds of the incumbent’s competence and function
Liaison
The Business Manager will interface with Clients, Client representatives, our clients senior management, line managers, project managers, regional managers, support staff and QA/HSE representatives as required in order to continue to raise the technical expertise and operational efficiency of the business within the parent company.
Reporting to Managing Director, reporting to this discipline: Party Chiefs and other relevant field staff, via Project Managers
Qualifications & Experience
BSc in Oceanography, hydrography, Environmental Science or related discipline
Minimum 10 years experience in the industry or related field
