EPC Project Director (Power Plants)

Our client is seeking to employ a senior individual who will be able to demonstrate the ability to deliver on a number of critical project deliverables. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will have responsibility for activities on both overseas and UK EPC projects.
Responsibilities:
• Liaise with other discipline engineers to meet engineering deliverables.
• Direct and manage all aspects of multi-disciplinary EPC projects from proposal to handover.
• Regular liaison with key stakeholders, clients, internal customers.
• Maintain all interfaces with project teams.
• Support the sales/estimation team.
• Provide execution strategy inputs.
• Define the base line scope, programmes and allowances together with the final execution plan
• Effectively manage the change control and risk management processes
Candidate Requirements:
• Exposure to Power Systems and equipment integration
• Significant experience within a large scale EPC projects environment
• Significant leadership experience in the successful delivery of large power plant/chemical/petrochemical EPC projects. This will include significant site management experience encompassing multi-disciplinary site construction, testing and commissioning.
• International contracting experience with ability to adapt to a multi-cultural environment. Consortium management experience will be a plus.
• Excellent commercial acumen and familiarity with various forms of contracts including FIDIC.
Qualifications
Minimum - Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent.
Preferred - Chartered Engineer status/Masters degree.
