Principal Purpose

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications: Engineering degree or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications: Chartered Engineer status/Masters degree.

Experience
· Exposure to Power Systems and equipment integration
· Significant experience within a large scale EPC projects environment
· We are looking for significant leadership experience in the successful delivery of large power plant/chemical/petrochemical EPC projects.
· Thorough understanding of codes, governing regulations and industry practices.

· Responsible for developing procurement plans and contracting strategies before working with the legal team to formulate templates for head, subcontract, consortium agreements and for ensuring the application of project renumeration systems involving our Client and supply chain.
· You will also be responsible for developing and leading negotiations with our Clients and the supply chain covering all aspects of contract execution.

Responsibilities
· Your role will be to lead all aspects of delivery for electricity transmission and distribution projects through concept design, detailed design, construction support, commissioning and handover.

· Satisfying the Customer and achieving or improving upon set objectives of time, cost and specification, ensuring adherence to the Client and Company requirements and the Company’s policies and processes.

Experience
· You will have proven experience in the transmission and distribution of electricity, including projects involving the design, installation and commissioning of substations, with a demonstrable track record of delivering results, managing people, project finances and reporting of progress.
· You will have a working knowledge of HAZID, HAZOP and Process Safety.

· You will be able to demonstrate project management competency.

Head of Programme Delivery (UK Power Consultancy Sector)

Objective
 
Lead the team responsible for delivering a portfolio of design and technical projects, both in the UK and internationally, meeting targets for turnover, profit, quality, safety and environmental measures.
 
Responsibilities 
 
· Ensure project plans are prepared; following client/stakeholder agreement, allocate and organise resources in accordance with this plan, ensuring that time, cost and quality targets are set and delivered. Provide leadership to ensure that deviations from plan are indentified early and remedial action taken. Seek out innovative solutions to technical, organisational and/or financial problems. 
· Implement a system to plan for the near, mid and long term resource requirement. 
· Ensure an active safety culture is created and maintain a safe working environment at all times. operate within the quality assurance manual of the client or an established project management methodology which ensures the maintenance of equivalent standards].
· Put in place project monitoring and reporting – of finance/accounting, safety, quality and timeliness and ensure that documentation is in place and records maintained.  
· Implement appropriate systems of risk identification, assessment and reporting with the emphasis on minimising/containing project risks. Ensure significant risks are reported to the client’s management team and maintain compliance with parent company’s SODA.   
· Maintain close working relationship with the Sales Manager. Capture any additional business development opportunities which may arise during project delivery.  
· Maintain close working relationships with the Head of Advisory Projects to ensure the most effective overall use of resources.  
· Preparation, monitoring and delivery of the cost budget for his team.  
· Sets targets and reviews performance of the staff in his team and takes corrective action where appropriate. Responsible for personal development planning and review of all team members, including setting of KPIs.  
· Contribute to development of the business through membership of the management team. 
 
Skills & Qualifications 
 
· Degree or equivalent in a numerate discipline. Ideally an electrical engineering relevant degree, to masters level or higher, with chartered status. Acknowledged as an expert in his/her field by peers. 
· Good understanding of the power industry, particularly in the UK, including technical standards. Thorough working knowledge of the power sectors in target areas (e.g. Middle East, south Asia, Africa). 
· Good understanding of engineering contracts e.g. NEC.  
· Experience of delivering projects under appropriate contracts. 
· Experience as a consultant and adviser in the power sector, with an international dimension. 
· Experience as a manager and/or executive Experience as a project manager and in project management methodologies, demonstrating a track record of delivering high value/complex projects successfully. 
· High level communication and influencing skills, commanding confidence as an expert in his/her field. 
· Good leadership skills, developed in a range of cultures.

Marine Superintendent - UK Marine Survey Sector

Our Client is a UK based internationally operating, marine geophysical, metocean and hydrographic survey company.
Principle Responsibilites
  • Responsible for verifying allocated vessels are compliant with ISM, company accreditation and statutory requirements producing variance reports for Marine Manager.
  • Carry out vessel visits, inspections and technical audits and provide full reports within agreed timescales.
  • Ensure that all information and reports received from ships are correct and disseminated to all relevant parties.
  • Verify that ships are maintained in a state of operational readiness and when requested producing variance reports for Marine Manager.
  • Control / assist ship refits as directed by Marine Manager.
  • Ensure support is provided to vessels at sea and whilst in port.
  • Maintain close liaison with ships senior officers.
  • Member of the emergency response and vessel support team.
  • Liaise with and verify performance of 3rd party managers ensuring that ships are manned/operated with appropriately trained and qualified personnel and in accordance with procedures / aspirations.
  • Monitor designated Ship Budgets and report to Marine Manager.
  • Additionally the post holder will assist with routine maintenance, technical support, refit management, mobilisation/demobilization and administrative support in respect of the above.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • ISM Marine Auditor Accreditation an advantage.
  • Recent experience as a Superintendent in an ISM regime an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications
  • Marine experience
  • Proven experience in management role

Objectives

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

· Operation of off-line navigation/processing systems and software
· Post Processing of navigation and bathymetric data
· Report preparation
· Carry out administration tasks according to company’s procedures
· Be conversant with all leading edge technology relating to navigation and swath bathymetric operations
· Assist in preparation of proposals
· Maintain and manage all geophysical software dongle licenses.
· Advise and instruct relevant managers on hydrographic matters during all operations
· To be aware of the contents of the company's quality and Safety Policy Manuals and to be ever mindful of one’s responsibilities in the workplace that effect the health and safety of oneself and those of work colleagues.

Liaison
The Surveyor will interface with all project managers, line managers, field staff and QHSE as required in order to continue to raise the technical expertise and operational efficiency of swath bathymetric operations, and hydrographic techniques.

Qualifications/Experience
· BSc Surveying and Mapping Sciences (or equivalent qualification/relevant experience)
· Knowledge of QINSy
· Knowledge of Fledermaus

Offshore Survey Support Manager – Marine Sector

Responsibilities

· To be aware of the contents of the Company's QHSE policies; to be ever mindful of ones responsibilities in the workplace which affect the Health and Safety of self and colleagues
· Assist the Hydrographic Data Manager in all aspects of QC of hydrographic and geophysical data and reports
· Provide hydrographic acquisition, processing, interpretation and reporting advice to offshore teams
· Develop and enhance procedures in respect of hydrographic acquisition, processing and reporting.
· Line manager to offshore surveyors
· Provide technical support for survey operations
· Provide training and mentoring of Hydrographic Surveyors and other Personnel
· Assist other Line Managers to mentor and advise Hydrographic Surveyors towards achieving progression within the IMCA competency scheme.
· Assist and instruct relevant Managers on hydrographic matters during operations
· Assist in the preparation of Hydrographic technical commercial proposals

Project Planner - EPC Power Projects

Experience

Significant and appropriate experience of planning and scheduling of project management packages for EPC Projects, Ideally within the power generation market.

Engineering Apprenticeship and/or experience with manufacturing, material scheduling and cost control with workshop and site based equipment and services installation, plant testing and construction experience. 

Key Competencies 

· Familiarity with all the project management tools and techniques.
· Detailed knowledge and ability to operate Project Planning packages (Primavera P6 – essential)
· Knowledge of the project management, engineering design, procurement, material sourcing, manufacturing, quality control, expediting, shipping and site construction processes for the delivery of major projects.
· Familiarity with the project budget, allowance system and financial analysis (earned value analysis) EVA, for overall project planning, control reporting and resource loading.
· Communications skills and report writing ability.
· Team working aptitude and ability to develop interpersonal relationships.

Key Duties

· To provide a complete Project Planning service for nominated project.
· As required, in association with the Project Director and/or Proposals Function, develop a level 2 Project Programme for tenders
· In association with the Project Control Manger, prepare a planning strategy and then develop a database for the Project Execution Plan
· Develop project specific level 2 and level 3 programmes that clearly identify the project processes and linking of activities as required for multi-functional project team interfaces
· Assign ownership for all project deliverables and obtain sign on to the level 2 programme by the Project Team.
· Assign resources requirements for the execution of each phase of the project in accordance with the project specific budget.
· Review all appropriate engineering, procurement, manufacturing and site construction level 3 project programmes and review and prepare variance reports for the Project Control Manager and or Project Director’s attention for any variance from agreed level 2 programme.

Key Accountabilities 

· Time management to meet project programme responsibilities.
· Ensure that well-defined, complete project programmes are produced and maintained in association with all project team members.
· Providing clear definition of all activity interfaces.
· Early warning awareness to Project Control Manager of any variance from agreed schedule
